Who we work for
The DES Directors and management team have considerable experience at senior levels within the construction industry and more specifically in bulk earthworks and soil stabilisation; including the fields of Distribution, Road Construction and Energy and Marine infrastructure. We have been and continue to be instrumental in developing industry standards and good practice for over 20 years.

Scope: Bulk Earthworks & Soil Stabilisation
Description: Installation of temporary earthworks open grips, Topsoil strip depth 75mm, excavate to reduce levels within cut profile, fill to formation & Fill surplus material to temporary stockpile. Soil stabilisation of underside of fill, base of excavation and all fill layers within the hard landscaping. DES’s scope also included place only imported granular material and load only disposal off- site of all surplus topsoil materials.
Key matters: Inherit material suitability, surface water run-off, mass haul management, environmental issues, programme constraints, client critical path management.
Lochgelly Road, Cowdenbeath - First Endeavor
Value circa: £500,000.00
Duration: Contract started June 2022 – August 2022, 2 Month Duration
Scope: Bulk Earthworks & Soil Stabilisation
Description: Relocate existing vegetation stockpile, Topsoil strip depth 240mm, excavate to reduce levels within earthworks profile, raking of site won materials, fill to formation, Modification of site won materials at 5% CBR depth 300mm.
Key matters: Inherit material suitability, surface water run-off, mass haul management, environmental issues, programme constraints, client critical path management.
